UTSW requires all faculty and staff involved in providing and billing medical services to have two hours of billing compliance education each year. The Department of Pathology's Billing Compliance Committee has established this website to facilitate you in meeting this requirement while minimizing inconvenience. Reviewing this website and completion of the test automatically documents your completion of 2009 billing compliance education. You needn't take further steps after completion of the test.
Your billing compliance education requirements may also be satisfied through your attendance of seminars or workshops (duration of at least two hours) on billing compliance issues. UTSWMC offers a Billing Compliance Seminar twice a month through Ambulatory Services. And there are many other online compliance education sites, seminars and workshops available throughout the year. Submission of a memo to Darren Slider detailing what you attended and certifying your attendance meets UTSW's requirement. Any questions concerning these requirements may be directed to Darren Slider by telephone (x81620) or by e-mail.
