It is mandatory for all UT Southwestern physicians insured under the UT System Professional Medical Liability Benefit Plan to complete 15 hours of risk management education within eight (8) months from the beginning of their appointment. After successful completion of the Risk Management Education Program, a physician will have three years in which to complete an additional 15-hour course, which will be due on the anniversary of their start date.
