1. Brain, Multifocal Infarcts- Gross
Upon external examination of this man's brain, we see an irregular contour. Instead of the usual rounded shape of the cerebral convexities, we see depressions and cavities, suggesting multifocal loss of parenchyma. Patchy loss of parenchyma is most commonly due to infarcts.
