18. Pons, Acute Spontaneous Intraparenchymal Hemorrhage -
Gross
This is an acute pontine hemorrhage. Cases in the cerebellum and pons
account for approximately 10-13% each of spontaneous intraparenchymal
hemorrhages. Such a large acute hemorrhage in the pons is rapidly
fatal.
