3. Brain, Organizing Infarct- Gross
After sectioning the entire brain in the coronal plane, we identify several lesions. The grossly granular and crumbly appearance of the lesion we encounter here is typical of an organizing infarct. The petechial hemorrhages probably represent small hemorrhages due to reflow of blood through damaged vessels. How were the vessels damaged? Answer
