A high power photomicrograph of the small intestine shows that the mucosa is packed with foamy histiocytes. The mycobacterial organisms in the histiocytes stain red with an acid fast stain, seen in the medium power photomicrograph in the inset. A higher power view would reveal rod-shaped organisms within the histiocytes. How would this picture differ pathologically from cryptosporidiosis? Answer
