Inflammation, hepatic steatosis, and Mallory bodies are present in alcoholic hepatitis. Mallory bodies are cytoplasmic, eosinophilic, rope-like inclusions within the cytoplasm of hepatocytes. Ultrastructurally they consist of tangles of cytokeratin intermediate filaments. Are Mallory bodies pathognomonic for alcoholic hepatitis? Answer
