This liver is cirrhotic from primary hemochromatosis. Grossly, it
shows fibrous connective tissue bands separating regenerating nodules
of chocolate brown hepatic parenchyma. What is the difference between
primary and secondary hemochromatosis (secondary iron overload), and
what is the pathogenesis of primary hemochromatosis?
