In this hematoxylin and eosin (H and E) stained section of a cirrhotic liver from a patient with hemochromatosis, brown hemosiderin (iron) deposits are noted in both periportal hepatocytes and bile duct epithelial cells. This is a stain for iron (Prussian blue stain) in a cirrhotic liver from a patient with hemochromatosis.
