7. Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis - High Power
This term denotes a group of immunologically mediated lung disorders (acute, subacute, or chronic) resulting from exposure to inhaled dusts or other antigens. The lesions are predominantly interstitial, with infiltrates of lymphocytes and plasma cells. Granuloma formation (as illustrated) and intralveolar exudates may be present. Compare and contrast the location, etiology, and pathological findings with those in asthma. Answer
