1. Primary Osteosarcoma, Distal Femur - Gross
This is a classic example of primary osteosarcoma. Note that the tumor is from a young patient (growth plate is still evident). Primary osteosarcomas characteristically arise in the metaphysis and destroy the cortex. It is rare for the tumor to extend into the joint.
