6. Chondrosarcoma - Gross
Chondrosarcomas are about one half as frequent as osteosarcoma. Note that the tumor has developed in the proximal femur and that it has not destroyed the cortex. The tumor has a bluish, glassy appearance, reminiscent of cartilage. Compare and contrast the location, incidence, age of occurrence, and histology of this tumor with primary osteosarcoma.
