Modified Whole Blood

This is whole blood from which one component has been removed and the other components recombined. Most commonly it refers to blood that has had the platelets removed. Modified whole blood for all practical purposes functions just like whole blood (because the platelets were not functional after refrigeration anyway).

PMH does not currently stock modified whole blood.
